Invoquemos no solamente la justicia, el respeto a los derechos humamos y la vuelta a los procederes democráticos (con todas sus imperfecciones), sino porque vuelva la humildad de corazón al seno de nuestra ciudadanía, aquí o allá. Parecemos olvidar que la humildad sube del humus, es tierra. Somos tierra renovada en sangre, piel y huesos que sube como un árbol a acariciar el cielo. Si tan sólo volviera a campear la humildad en nuestros corazones, entonces no nos parecería tan extraño cultivar la piedad, la solidaridad y la hermandad entre los hombres... (lacl)

Let us invoke not only justice, respect for human rights and a return to democratic procedures (with all its imperfections), but because the humility of heart returns to the bosom of our citizenship, here or there. We seem to forget that humility rises from humus, it is earth. We are earth renewed in blood, skin and bones that rises like a tree to caress the sky. If only humility in our hearts would once again rise, then it would not seem so strange to us to cultivate piety, solidarity and brotherhood among men ...
